5 Reasons We Adore Boomba

One thing to consider when shopping for a gown, or when you go for alterations is: undergarments. Every dress is different, each body is different, everybody’s comfort level is different. Needless to say- a one size fits all response has never been our solution. Wedding gowns; with their sheer panels, low necklines, delicate laces, and fitted bodices- are somewhat of a point of stress for many brides trying to figure out how to feel supported all day while still feeling gorgeous (sans bra lines).

With our one-on-one approach to our brides its not often that we find a product that we love enough to proudly recommend to almost every bride. Boomba’s, however, might just be that thing.

Boombas Have No Band or Strap Lines

They are especially perfect for backless, strapless, and semi-sheer situations. Since the Boombas are essentially a floating bra system, there are no straps or clasps to show through delicate fabrics, or tug and pinch at you all day. This can also help with wedding day fatigue and even your posture while you’re standing up there in front of all of your family and friends.

Boomba Provides Customizable Support

With multiple lift and style options in a variety of shades and inclusive sizing; there is a cut and color for everyone. Since you don’t have to worry about bands and we’re really only focusing on cup-fit there’s more range in these cups than you would expect. There are support and lift options going from basic modesty covers all the way up to a full 2 cup size addition if you want more drama.

Boombas Provide Peace of Mind

This is not your high school prom dress strapless bra option, nor is this a gen 1 cheap sticky bra experiment from wet seal. You can shed your horrific flashbacks now; technology has come a long way. Boombas prevent nip slips. Completely. Because the lift and support comes from fabric tension- Boombas are sticky on both sides. This is especially useful if you have a strapless gown.

Boombas are *Fool*Proof

We can’t say they are people-proof, or wear proof-no matter how magic they are- they do eventually wear out. However, they are sweat proof and water proof. And that makes Boomba a cut above every other ‘sticky-bra’ we’ve ever tried. You know exactly what we mean: You buy an adhesive bra and when you first put it on they world is great. One hour later however, you feel slimy and your support feels like it’s somewhere down around your belly-button. Your own body sweats it off leaving you questioning your life choices and afraid to lift your arms any higher than absolutely necessary.

That doesn’t happen with Boomba. One of our teammates, Mikaela, has turned into a full Boomba convert. She swears by them, and has been known to wear them upwards of 10 hours at a time. Once they are correctly placed, they aren’t going anywhere. This means you can dance, move, and raise your arms in all kinds of weather without fear of slippage. It also makes cleaning them easier; so long as you use a mild soap you can keep them clean without damaging the adhesive.

Boombas are Reuseable

We are always looking for things that make the wedding industry more sustainable. While one could argue that the semi-disposable bra inserts are just ‘something additional to eventually end up in a landfill’; we’d argue that sew-in bra cups that will only be worn once on one day are still more wasteful than a product that can be used up to 50 times in almost any clothing including swimsuits. That means that not only can you use them for the big day, but also your rehearsal dinner, your honeymoon, or honestly any outfit that has always given you bra trouble. That versatility makes it a sustainable wedding swap in our book.

Our Final Thoughts on Boomba

As a whole, we’ve never found another product that has come close to meeting all the needs of our brides the same way that Boomba does. From their fit versatility to their sustainability and the peace of mind they’ll give you on your big day; we cannot recommend them enough.

If you are not sure about shopping for them online, or would like to get a better feel for them before purchasing them, you can always stop by the studio. We carry their full range of products in store and can always place special orders for a specific size if we happen to be out of stock.
